Paige, Hammer-Grant lead Mules at NESCAC meet

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. -- Addie Paige swam the second-fastest 500-yard freestyle in school history for Colby College at the NESCAC Women's Swimming and Diving Championships at Wesleyan on Friday night.

Paige had a time of 5 minutes, 1.43 seconds in taking 11th place in the 500 freestyle. The first-year also swam the anchor leg and teamed with Olivia Hammer-Grant (pictured), Mila Schowtka, and Georganna Benedetto to swim the third-fastest 200 freestyle relay. The relay team placed ninth overall with a 1:38.13 clocking.
Hammer-Grant swam the third-fastest 50 freestyle in school history in a preliminary race (24.31) and then placed 15th overall in 24.68.
In 1-meter diving, Kirsten Johnston took 10th place with 327.85 points and teammate Steph Fawell was 13th at 309.25.
