Women's squash team opens national tourney with victory

HARTFORD, Conn. -- The 25th-ranked Colby College women's squash team opened up College Squash Association Tournament play with a 9-0 victory over 32nd-ranked Northeastern University on Friday.

he Mules are the top seed in the Epps Cup (teams ranked 25 to 32). Colby will play a Epps semifinal match against 28th-ranked Connecticut College on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. The Mules have 6-3 and 5-4 wins over the Camels this season.
 
Sydney Ku (1st position), Julianna Song (2), Lily Wain (3), Madeline Latimore (4), Olivia Silverman (5), Stephanie Keane (7), and Kathleen He (9) had straight set wins.
 
Sabrina Teope at six and D'Arcy Carlson (pictured) at eight both lost their first set before winning three straight.
