WOODFORD, Vt. -- Zane Fields placed fourth for the Colby College men's Nordic ski team and Claire Waichler took 15th for the women's team in 3.8-kilometer racing on Saturday at Prospect Mountain.

Due to a lack of snow, the scheduled freestyle sprint event was changed to a 3.8K prologue.

Fields, having the best season in the history of the Nordic ski program, placed fourth in 8 minutes, 23.1 seconds to help the Mules finish seventh overall.

Andrew Egger (pictured) placed 25th for the Mules in 8:39.0, Ian Liphart took 35th with a 8:45.9, and Foss Kerker was 36th in 8:50.4.
