BEFORE COLBY

Josiah graduated from Shaler High School, where he was a member of the cross country and track and field teams. He was a National Merit Scholarship finalist and a National AP Scholar.

AT COLBY 

Josiah is majoring in Environmental Science and Biology with an Ecology and Evolution concentration and a minor in Chemistry. 

2018 cross country season highlights: Johnson was 10th in the junior/senior race against Bates and 51st in the Maine State Championships. He also competed in the Connecticut College Inivitational and the NESCAC meet. He was on the NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team.

2017 cross country season highlights: Josiah was on the NESCAC Fall All-Sportsmanship Team and the NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team. He was eighth in the junior/senior race against Bates and placed 20th for the Mules at the Keene State Invitational. Josiah was 85th at the NESCAC meet and also competed at the Rowan and NCAA New England events.

2016 cross country season highlights: Johnson finished 13th at the Bates first-year/sophomore race and 43rd at Maine State Championships. He was on the NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team.

2016 outdoor season highlights: Johnson started the outdoor season at the Bowdoin Invitational with a fourth-place finish in the 3000-meter steeplechase. At the Colby Open, Josiah finished with a sixth-place finish in the 5,000 meters. Johnson finished his first year at the Maine State Meet with an 18th-place finish in the 5,000 meters.

2016 indoor track season highlights: Johnson competed in distance events as a first-year. He finished 20th in the 3K at the USM Open and 17th in the same event at the Maine State Championships. Josiah added a fourth-place finish in the 5K at the Bowdoin Invitational.

2015 cross country season highlights: Johnson finished 16th in the Bates first-year/sophomore race, 40th in the Bowdoin Invitational, and 75th in the Maine State Championships in his first year with the team.
