Men's tennis opens California trip with easy victory

CLAREMONT, Calif. -- The Colby College men's tennis team started the spring break trip to California with an easy 8-1 win over Linfield College on Sunday.

Scott Altmeyer and Sumukh Pathi were dominant in an 8-0 win at first doubles. Max Schuermann and Garrett Reiter combined to win 8-5 at second doubles.
The Mules did not lose a set in singles play, including a 6-0, 6-3 win for Altmeyer at the first spot. Pathi, Schuermann, Reiter, Hans Hwang, and Jonathan Hallal also won singles matches.
The Mules (2-2 overall) will face George Fox University on Monday at 2 p.m. (EST).
