Men's lacrosse falls in league game to Jumbos

MEDFORD, Mass. -- C.J. Hassan scored a pair of goals to raise his season total to six for the Colby College men's lacrosse team in a 20-6 loss to seventh-ranked Tufts University in NESCAC play Saturday.

By the numbers
* Hassan has six goals and two assists for eight points. Tucker Dietrick finished with one goal and one assist, while Teddy Fenton also had two points with a pair of assists.
* Riley Bergstrom (pictured) and Carter Vickers both scored their first collegiate goals for the Mules (1-2 overall, 1-2 NESCAC). Scott Miller also had one goal and first-year Billy Jacobs dished his third assist of the season.
* First-year face-off man Joe Paolatto was near 50 percent (12-for-25) on draws and scooped six ground balls for Colby.
* Graham Lian led the Mules' defense with four ground balls, while fellow defender Michael McHale had three ground balls. 
* C.J. Layton finished with 13 saves and three ground balls while playing 54 minutes, 28 seconds in goal for the Mules. Payton Fales played the final 5:32 and did not record a save.
* Danny Murphy led Tufts (4-0, 2-0 NESCAC) with three goals and three assists.
