Tucci earns National Men's Hockey Team of the Week honor

WATERVILLE, Maine -- Colby College goaltender Andrew Tucci (Toronto, Ontario) earned his second honor of the week after being named to the D3hockey.com Men's Hockey National Team of the Week on Wednesday.

Tucci was honored Monday as the New England Small College Athletic Conference Player of the Week.
 
In three games last week, Tucci posted three shutouts with 83 total saves and a 1.000 save percentage. He started the week with 33 saves, including 17 in the second period, in a 2-0 win at home against Saint Anselm. The Mules headed on the road for a NESCAC weekend and Tucci made 25 saves in Colby's 8-0 win against Connecticut College. Tucci closed out the week with 25 saves in a 2-0 win at Tufts. 
 
Tucci ranks second in the league in save percentage (.937), tied for second in goals against average (1.72), and first in minutes played (489:43). Tucci has played every minute during Colby's current six-game unbeaten streak (4-0-2). 
 
Adrian defenseman Braden Hellems, Canton defensement Sean Shepard, Concordia Moorhead forward Aaron Herdt, Oswego forward Josh Zizek, and Lebanon Valley forward Brett Johnson also were honored on the National Team of the Week.
