Colby Men's Crew returned to Worcester, MA on Saturday 4/20 to race against Trinity College, Ithaca College, University of New Hampshire, and WPI.
First up was the Men's Varsity 8+ of Coxswain Chessy Singer, Stroke Liam Rex, 7 Ethan Ashley, 6 Jeff Endler, 5 Drew Eckler, 4 Arthur Benson, 3 Ethan Boone, 2 Chris Rodiger, and Bow Henry Toulmin. The mules came in fourth with a 6:48.5, behind Trinity (6:32.6), Ithaca (6:39.4), WPI ( 6:41.8), and ahead of UNH (7:12.0).
Next, the Men's Second Varsity Eight of Coxswain Minori Cohan, Stroke Parker Sikora, 7 Sam Subbukumar, 6 Danny Ellison, 5 Chris Marcello, 4 Will Seivwright, 3 Simon Pratico, 2 Dan Koo, and Bow Henry Lockwood took to the course. The Second Varsity Eight also finished in fourth place with a 7:18.8, behind Ithaca's 7:01.3, Trinity's 7:07.2, WPI's 7:09.1, and ahead of UNH's 7:52.5.
Closing out the day was the Men's Third Varsity Eight of Coxswain Catie Blair, Stroke Will Cordonnier, 7 Jack Koskinen, 6 Teddy Storrs, 5 Jack Coffman, 4 Matt Gawley, 3 Zack Boone, 2 John Olson, and Bow Jason Leong. The Third Varsity were the Mule's highest finishers of the day, securing a second place finish with 6:57.1, behind WPI's "A" Entry (6:53.7), and ahead of Ithaca (7:01.2), Trinity (7:16.0), and WPI's "B" entry (7:20.1).
Colby Men's Crew has a double header weekend for 4/27-4/28. On Saturday the 27th, CMC will host University of Vermont and University of New Hampshire at the Colby Hume Center. On Sunday the 28th, Colby heads down to Greene, ME to partake in the 23rd President's Cup between Colby, Bates, and Bowdoin.
