Whitmyer selected to play in field hockey senior game

WATERVILLE, Maine -- Colby College goalkeeper Riley Whitmyer (Bentleyville, Ohio) has been chosen to play in the Victory Sports Tours/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III Senior Game.

 
The senior game will be played in conjunction with the NCAA Division III title game in Manheim, Pa. The seniors will play Saturday, Nov. 17, at 5 p.m. at the Spooky Nook Sports Complex.
 
Whitmyer is one of 60 seniors chosen for the contest and one of eight goalkeepers.
 
Whitmyer ranks first in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) in total saves (95) and second in save percentage (.812). She led the conference a year ago in save percentage (.829) and was third in total saves (121).
 
Whitmyer has 285 career saves, a .796 save percentage, and nine shutouts.
 
The Mules play host to Hamilton College on Saturday at noon at Bill Alfond Field. Whitmyer and her fellow Colby seniors will be honored before the game.
