Hust, Schoepke, Richard lead alpine teams in slalom at Jiminy Peak

HANCOCK, Mass. -- Rosie Hust had another top-10 finish in the slalom and the Colby College alpine teams had three skiers in the top 20 at the Williams College Carnival at Jiminy Peak on Saturday.

Hust (pictured), a first-year, had her fourth top-10 slalom finish of the season after placing fifth with a two-run total time of 2:07.64 (59.72, 1:07.92). She had a fourth at the Colby Carnival, a fifth at the Vermont Carnival, and placed seventh in the slalom at Dartmouth.
Sandy Schoepke finished 12th for the Mules in 2:09.79 on runs of 1:00.13 and 1:09.66. Sophia Sherman took 35th in 2:17.23 to help the women's team place fifth with 83 points, ahead of Middlebury and Williams.
For the Colby men, Max Richard had a big second run of 54.71 and a two-run total time of 1:55.24 to take 15th overall. Richard had a better second run than overall winner Brian McLaughlin (55.28) of Dartmouth College.
Matt Calarco took 37th for the Mules in 2:00.67 and Colbey Derwin placed 39th in 2:01.50. The Colby men placed eighth overall with 50 points.
