Hust continues her slalom success for alpine ski team

HANOVER, N.H. -- Colby College first-year alpine skier Rosie Hust continued her strong start to the season in slalom racing by placing seventh in the event at the Dartmouth Skiway on Saturday.

Hust had runs of 53.80 and 55.35 for a two-run total time of 1:49.15. She had the fourth-best opening run. Hust was fourth in the slalom at the Colby Carnival and fifth in the University of Vermont Carnival.
Julia Chahine took 23rd place for the Mules in 1:53.41 with runs of 56.81 and 56.60. Jessica Reinhart (pictured) finished 35th for Colby in 1:58.40.
The Colby women took sixth place with 72 points, while the men were fifth ahead of Williams, Middlebury, and Bates.
Colbey Derwin, fresh off competing at the World Junior Championships in Switzerland this past week, took 14th in 1:46.20 (53.27, 52.93).
Max Richard took 18th place in 1:47.11 on runs of 53.98 and 53.13. Michael Ferri placed 29th in 1:48.31.
