In September 2008 Harold Alfond Stadium opened, providing one of the top collegiate track and field facilities in New England for the men’s and women’s track and field programs.
The 400-meter all-weather track was rebuilt, and a separate area was created nearby for the long and triple jump. A new discus and hammer cage is in place, with separate areas for shot put and javelin competition. Scoreboards and timing equipment were updated, and modern, efficient stadium lighting allows for evening practices and meets. The synthetic turf field is also used by the football, soccer, and lacrosse teams for games and practices.
The track teams have hosted the New England Division III Championships and the NESCAC Championships since the track was built.
