Program History

Since its first official varsity season in 1978, the Colby women's cross country program has flourished and built a strong tradition of success. Colby won New England Small College Athletic Conference titles in 1986 and 1994. The Mules have consistently been a top-five team in the NESCAC, one of the strongest cross country conferences in the nation. The Colby cross country program has produced 12 runners who have earned 14 All-America honors, and Colby has qualified for the NCAA meet as a team eight times, finishing fifth in the nation in both 2004 and 2005. The Mules also had top 20 performances at nationals in the 2007 and 2008 seasons.
