NESCAC champs to start 2018 season ranked 10th in national poll

WATERVILLE, Maine -- Colby College, the defending New England Small College Athletic Conference champions, will start the season ranked 10th in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) poll.
 
The Mules, under head coach Karen Henning, won the program's third NESCAC title with a semifinal win over Middlebury College and a championship game victory against Trinity College last year.
 
Colby will play seven other teams ranked in the top 25. The Mules open the season on Saturday, March 3, at home against Amherst College at noon. Amherst is one of two teams receiving votes in the poll.
