Women's lacrosse wins fourth straight game in victory over UNE

WATERVILLE, Maine -- The 19th-ranked Colby College women's lacrosse team broke an early 2-2 tie with 11 unanswered goals on the way to a 19-4 win over University of New England in non-conference play Wednesday at Bill Alfond Field.

The Mules improved to 6-3 overall, while the Nor'easters fell to 5-6. The Mules have won four straight games.
 

Madeleine Hatch had three goals, one assist, and three draw controls. Emma Banks also had four points with two goals and two assists. McGara DeWan and Sasha Fritts both had three goals, while Gemma Bready and Kendall Smith both had two goals and one assist. Lexie Perticone also had three points with one goal and two assists. 

Julia Maser scored her first collegiate goal for the Mules, while Cassie Rodgers and Bridget Horwood each had one assist.
 

Korinne Bohunsky had a nice all-around game for UNE with one goal, five draw controls, three caused turnovers, and two ground balls. Nichole Carvalho had two goals, Kimberly Gosselin scored one, and Jocelyn Davee added an assist.

Colby had a 36-15 advantage in shots and a 15-10 margin in draw controls. Izzy Scribano played the first half and made four saves and Sam Burch stopped three shots in the final 30 minutes for Colby.
 

Maritza Nary made 10 saves for the Nor'easters.
