NEW LONDON, Conn. -- The 19th-ranked Colby College women's lacrosse team had four players with five points or more in helping the Mules explode for seven straight goals to take command in a 19-11 win over Connecticut College in NESCAC play Saturday.
Lexie Perticone had five goals and two assists to lead all scorers Saturday. She has 13 goals and 10 assists in Colby's opening six games. Kendall Smith has her season goal total up to 16 with five more against the Camels. Madeleine Hatch finished with six points on three goals and three assists.
The Camels had first half leads of 4-2 and 7-5 in a wild opening 30 minutes. Perticone scored three goals, Klein had two scores, and Smith and Fritts had one apiece to turn a 7-5 deficit into a 12-7 lead. Fritts scored with six seconds left to give the Mules a 13-8 lead at intermission.
Izzy Scribano and Sam Burch combined for nine saves in goal for the Mules.
