Altmeyer has big win in battle of nationally-ranked opponents

WHITTIER, Calif. -- In battle of nationally-ranked players, Colby College's Scott Altmeyer earned a big victory over George Fox University's Will Leach in men's tennis Monday in California.

George Fox, ranked 28th in the country, took a 7-2 win over the Mules.
 
Altmeyer (pictured), who is ranked 17th in Division III tennis, took a 6-2, 6-3 win against 21st-ranked Leach at first singles. 
 
Altmeyer also teamed with Sumukh Pathi for a tight 8-7 (7-5) win at first doubles.
